Paintings by Paul Laberge To celebrate 2008 and the Rideau Canal's new status as a World Heritage Site, there will be a permanent exhibition of paintings depicting the Rideau Canal, from Ottawa to Kingston. The 'canalscapes' by local artist Paul Laberge, who lives and works in Merrrickville, were painted especially for the 175th Anniversary of the canal.
